This is a prayer ceremony for making offerings to fire gods and gods of dead through any of the meditational deities.
The benefits of this prayer ceremony are: It helps to purify the negative karmas and obscurations of deceased persons that they had accumulated from the beginningless life of their cyclic existence. It also helps living people to pacify all their obstacles that hinder their glory, prosperity, long life, to increase their virtuous actions, cattle and grains, and power, and to purify their sins. Temporarily it will help to accomplish their aspirations and dispel their obstacles, and ultimately to attain the state of omniscient Buddha by obtaining one human life after another.
