Bhum Poe Chunye Recitation Prayer ཆོས་འཁོར་དུས་ཆེན་ཉིན་ལ་འབུམ་རྒྱས་འབྲིང་བསྡུས་གསུམ་དག་སྒྲོགས།

This is a liturgy of reciting the extensive sutra of perfection of wisdom with one hundred
thousand verses, the teachings of profound emptiness taught by Buddha Sakyamuni to the
great community of monks and Bodhisattvas through questioning and answering sessions
with Shariputra, Subhuti, lndra and other individuals at Vulture Hill, Rajagriha, and so forth.
The benefits of this recitation are:
It helps to enhance one’s lifespan, merit, power, luck and other favorable conditions and to
avert the obstacles of inauspicious year, and other unfavorable circumstances. It helps one
to purify non-virtues and obscurations and to liberate one from falling into hell realms. It
helps to delight all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of ten directions and to accomplish all
favorable conditions and aspirations. In short, it has immeasurable benefits, such as to
flourish Buddha Dharma and to bring well being to all sentient beings. This is a liturgy
which must be done by those who are going through their inauspicious year.
