Exorcising Local Deities and Evil Spirits (Naga Prayer)
This is a prayer ceremony for pacifying harms by offering torma to local deities, nagas, nyen spirits and other spirits, relying upon the meditational deities Avalokiteshvara Simhanada and Vajrapani.
Our activities — digging earth, cutting rocks and trees, and stirring water — damage the body, wealth and essence of nagas and local deities, giving rise to illness. Performing this ceremony helps pacify such naga-inflicted illnesses, brings timely rain and good harvest, pacifies natural calamities, poverty and quarrels, and enhances happiness and prosperity.
